Starlike Crystal is a translucent epoxy grout made for glass tile and mosaics. It’s packed with ultra-pure glass microbeads, more than 75% recycled, that let light pass through, so the grout blends with the color of the tile around it.

- Empty the full Part B pouch into Part A and mix with a low-speed drill mixer (about 300 rpm) until smooth and lump-free. Spread with a rubber grout float, working diagonally across the joints. Clean while still fresh with a white scrub pad, then a damp Sweepex sponge. Apply between 50°F and 86°F.

What is Starlike Crystal?
Starlike Crystal is a translucent epoxy grout for joints up to 3 mm (about 1/8"). It's packed with tiny glass beads that let light pass through, so the grout picks up the color of the tile around it instead of showing a hard grout line. Use it on floors and walls, indoors and outdoors. It's a grout only, so set the tile with a separate adhesive.
What tile does Starlike Crystal work best with?
The see-through effect is strongest with glass: transparent and glass mosaics, glass sheets and art mosaics. It also works with ceramic, porcelain and large-format slabs.
Can I add color to Starlike Crystal?
Yes. Crystal colors are made by mixing the clear base with the matching Starlike Jewels additive. You can also add Starlike Shimmers for glitter or metallic effects, or Starlike Night Vision for a glow-in-the-dark finish. Shimmers and Night Vision are for indoor use only.
Will Starlike Crystal turn yellow?
It's made to resist it. Starlike Crystal is UV-resistant and stain-resistant, and it contains none of the chemical pigments found in many epoxy grouts.
Can I use Starlike Crystal in showers and pools?
Yes. It's waterproof and works in showers, steam rooms, pools and fountains. Wait 24 hours before light foot traffic, 5 days before full use, and 7 days before filling a pool.
What if my joints are wider than 3 mm?
Starlike Crystal is made for joints up to 3 mm (about 1/8"). For wider joints, use Starlike Pro, which handles joints up to 20 mm.
How long do I have to work with it?
About 90 minutes at 73°F. Apply between 50°F and 86°F, and don't apply if the temperature will drop below 50°F in the next 24 hours. Heat shortens the working time and cold extends it. Empty the whole Part B pouch into Part A and mix with a low-speed drill mixer (about 300 rpm). Hand mixing isn't recommended.
How do I clean off epoxy grout haze?
Clean while the grout is still fresh. Wet the surface and work it in circles with a Scrub Doctor white non-scratch pad, then wipe with a damp Sweepex sponge to smooth the joints and lift the film. Any film left behind can be removed after 24 hours, and no later than 48 hours, with Starlike Care (floors) or Starlike Wall Care (walls). For older residue, use Starlike Care Pro or Starlike Remover.
Is Starlike Crystal safe to work with?
Starlike Crystal is non-hazardous and non-corrosive for the installer, and it's EC1 Plus certified for ultra-low VOC emissions. More than 75% of its glass beads are recycled. Its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Health Product Declaration (HPD) are in the documents on this page. Always read the Safety Data Sheet before use.
