How To Apply Shield

Spray Application

32 oz of Shield should treat 8,000 – 10,000 square feet.

Mix: Dilute one part of Tile Doctor Shield to three parts of water and mix or shake well.

Apply: Using an electrostatic sprayer (like the one pictured) and set for the smallest particle size. Follow the sprayer’s directions for best application. Spray the entire surface area making sure the whole surface is completely covered. The amount needed for treatment will depend on the coarseness and absorbency of the material being treated.

Finish: Let stand until dry. A fan may be used to assist in drying carpeting. If spotting or clouding occurs, wipe with moist cloth or sponge. If necessary, reapply every three months or when odor, staining and discoloration due to bacteria, mold stains or mildew stains return.

Washing Machine Application

Add Shield by itself to clean laundry during a dedicated rinse cycle. Soap or Fabric Softener will deactivate Shield.

Mix: No mixing is necessary.

Apply: After laundry has gone through a full cleaning cycle, set machine to Rinse. Add 8 fluid ounces of Shield and run the full rinse cycle to treat the fabrics.

Finish: Use a dryer under the appropriate heat setting for the fabrics being treated. If a dryer is not available, allow to dry overnight.
